TSgt Adam Ginett joined the Air Force in 1999 and graduated from NAVSCOLEOD in 2000. He was assigned to the 31st Civil Engineer Squadron at Aviano Air Base, Italy. He was on his fourth deployment, serving with the 755 Bravo EOD Flight at Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan. He died from wounds from a targeted IED while conducting a dismounted patrol with an Army Unit.
His awards and decorations include Bronze Star with Valor second oak leaf cluster, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with three devices, Air Force Achievement Medal with three devices, Air Force Combat Medal, Meritorious Unit Award with three devices, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with two devices and Valor, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with two devices, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with one device, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Short Tour ribbon with one device, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with gold border and one device, Air Force Longevity Service with one device, United States Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Military Education Graduate ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon with one device, Air Force Training Ribbon, NATO Medal, and the Senior EOD Badge.
TSgt Ginett is survived by his mother and step-father Christina & Jim Kazakavage, his sister Sarah, and his father Allyn Ginett.
