Staff Sgt. Lo graduated from Salem High School in 2004. He was a member of the Air Force JROTC program and was the operations squadron, color guard commander and a drill team commander.
SSG Edmond L. Lo, was killed on 13 June 2009. SSG Lo was assigned to the 797th Ordnance Company (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), 79th Ordnance Battalion (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), 71st Ordnance Group (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), 20th Support Command (CBRNE). SSG Lo was killed by a secondary improvised device, while attempting to render safe a roadside improvised explosive device in Samarra City, Iraq.
The family includes his parents, David and Rosa Lo of Salem; maternal grandfather Chung Fai Lam of Hong Kong, China; three sisters, Carmen Lo of Salem, Selma Deyak of Bedford and Lena Rozzi of Hooksett; two brothers, Raymond Lo and Norman Lo, both of Salem; and two nieces and a nephew.
