LT Christopher E. Mosko

LT Christopher Mosko was born in Worcester, MA on November 18, 1983. Upon graduating from Eau Claire Memorial High School in Eau Claire, WI in 2002, he attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA where he studied Commerce and Engineering. In 2007, LT Mosko graduated from Drexel and completed his time as a midshipman with the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a commission as an Ensign. In the summer of 2007, he reported to Naval Dive and Salvage Training Center in Panama City, FL to begin training as a Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Officer. He completed Navy Dive School in October 2007 and immediately transitioned to NAVSCOLEOD, Eglin Air Force Base, FL where he graduated in October 2008. LT Mosko then reported to EOD Mobile Unit THREE in San Diego, CA. While assigned to EODMU THREE, he supported the stand-up of EOD Expeditionary Support Unit One as Assistant Operations Officer until he deployed as Assistant Platoon Leader for PLT 3-2-2 onboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) and supported Humanitarian Operations following the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Following that deployment he assumed command of PLT 3-8-1 and began the challenging training, qualification, and integration with Seal Team THREE. He deployed with his platoon to Afghanistan in support of Naval Special Warfare Squadron Three, Army 3rd Special Forces Group, and Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force -Afghanistan.

LT Mosko’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and numerous other personal and unit decorations.

LT Mosko is survived by his wife Amanda, his parents John and Gayle, and sister Meredith.
