SFC Lawrence David Ezell was killed on 30 April 2008. SFC Ezell was assigned to the 62nd Ordnance Company (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), 242nd Ordnance Battalion (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), 71st Ordnance Group (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), 20th Support Command (CBRNE). SFC Ezell died from wounds suffered in Baghdad when an improvised explosive device placed in a family’s garbage detonated near his unit during combat operations.
