CPT Gary J. Guest was killed on 14 April 1971. CPT Guest was assigned to the 87th Ordnance Detachment (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), Presidio, San Francisco, California. CPT Guest was making improvised explosive devices that were to be used for training classes with the local police department. CPT Guest was killed when a pipe bomb that he was assembling detonated.
