MSG Frank R. Holley

MSG Frank Roy Holley was killed on 18 November 1953.  MSG Holley was assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Squad, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 707th Ordnance Maintenance Company, 7th Infantry Division in Yengam-Ni, South Korea.  MSG Holley was in a demolition pit preparing propellant for destruction when the pit experienced a sudden flash fire at Yongon-ni, South Korea.  MSG Holley was critically burned in an accidental ammunition explosion.  MSG Holley was evacuated to the 43rd Mobile Army Surgical Hospital where he died.  MSG Holley was posthumously awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
